Why We Exist

Delta Bay Impact was founded in response to the persistent inequities impacting African American students and families within the education system. Too often, students are underserved, overlooked, or disconnected from environments that should nurture their growth and potential.

We exist to change that narrative.

Our work is rooted in the belief that every student deserves to be seen, heard, supported, and equipped to thrive—both inside and outside of the classroom. By addressing gaps in access, opportunity, and representation, we create spaces where students can show up fully as themselves and succeed without limitation.

We don’t just support students—we advocate, empower, and walk alongside them and their families every step of the way.

What We Stand On

Our work is guided by a set of core values that shape every program, partnership, and interaction. These values are not just principles—they are practices we live out daily in service of our students and community.

We intentionally design programs and experiences that reflect the voices, needs, and lived realities of the youth we serve. We listen first, build trust, and create spaces where students feel safe to express themselves, take risks, and grow.

We believe:

  • Students are experts of their own experiences
  • Authentic relationships drive meaningful impact
  • When youth are centered, outcomes improve

Our commitment is to ensure that every student feels valued, respected, and prioritized.
